Every day a new Oceanco Custom Line design is revealed. This series includes 17 superyachts with a special design. The Dutch shipyard reveals details of the Hot Lab Superleggera 80.
It has a sleek exterior with the sexy lines of a 1960s car. Italian for 'superlight', superleggera is a coachwork technology developed by Felice Bianchi Anderloni of Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera in the mid-1930s.
Designed to "evoke the same sense of awe one feels in a large penthouse", the Superleggera 80 features a five-metre-high main atrium and "clean [back] lines" connecting the infinity pool (with a glass bulwark) to the swim platform below.
It has large sofa seats that are placed on four decks of the yacht and create comfortable spaces for guests.
The interior design is quite bold and reflects the opulence of a penthouse but also the strict lines of an 80's Supperleggera interior. It features modern furniture, extensive artwork and decorative lighting.
A bright color palette is incorporated throughout along with white lacquered ceilings and curved furniture.
These yachts are propelled by a hybrid diesel-electric system running on low-carbon biofuels, complemented by variable speed generators, advanced stabilization, and podded drives for enhanced efficiency. Oceanco's Simply Custom series, featuring three yachts to date, combines cutting-edge design with eco-friendly innovation.
