When it was first announced last year at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Four Seasons Yacht caused excitement in the cruise industry and among the hotel brand's loyal fans. However, few details about what would be on board the 14-deck luxury yacht, which is due to launch in late 2025, have been available — until now.
According to Four Seasons' President and CEO Alejandro Reynal, the megayacht will be built with the goal of offering "immersive luxury experiences." "The inaugural yacht is a manifestation of that vision, offering a world-class Four Seasons experience, at sea and on land, characterized by the genuine, personalized service our guests know and love."
On board, there will be a total of 95 suites, the crowning glory of which will be The Funnel Suite: an expansive, four-story penthouse space that is set to be one of the largest suites available on any cruise ship. Across four levels and its massive outdoor terrace, it will offer more than 9,500 square feet of private space for up to six guests. The Funnel Suite will be located on the highest decks of the ship, ensuring optimal privacy and solitude.
The defining design feature of the suite is its curved, wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer stunning 280-degree sea views. Curved glass is a "remarkable, unique engineering innovation, from its steel frame support structure to its double-glazed thermal performance," according to a company statement. (Four Seasons claims it's the largest piece of continuous glass at sea and cost $4.5 million to build and install.) The penthouse master suite will also offer a private terrace pool and a private space dedicated to spa treatments.
The rest of the suites may not be as colossal, but they are no less luxurious. Each suite offers an average of approximately 580 square feet of space and has its own private terrace of at least 100 square feet. Regardless of where guests stay, there is sure to be plenty of pampering available, with the crew outnumbering the passengers on board.
The cruise ship's public areas are equally impressive. On the aft deck of the boat there is a pool area, with sunbeds and a large 20m swimming pool, which is modeled after Aristotle Onassis' iconic yacht Christina O. The design of the pool achieves rapid filling or emptying with salt water and lifting of her floor to be flush with the deck, turning her into a multi-purpose space for events such as parties or weddings on board.
For passengers who prefer swimming in the ocean, the Four Seasons Yacht will feature an innovative marina, built specifically for swimming and water sports. Activities such as private sailing, snorkeling and windsurfing, as well as "custom-built marine limousine rentals designed for transportation and coastal grand tours" will be included in the floating luxury hotel's range of amenities. In addition, the dedicated marina crew will offer their services to meet guests' every need.
When she sets sail on her maiden voyage in late 2025, the Four Seasons Yacht will cruise the Caribbean in the winters and the Mediterranean in the summers. The brand also benefits from an extensive network of hotels - 126 properties in 47 countries - located in glamorous ports such as the French Riviera, Taormina, Athens and Anguilla.
Regarding bookings, priority booking access for the inaugural voyage will be given to Four Seasons loyal customers and travel partners due to high demand. If you are among them, you may be sent an invitation by mail. For the rest of you interested, good luck with this long waiting list!
