ARES Yachts Unveils SIMENA: A New Chapter in Sailing Superyachts!

World debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025

Antalya, July 2025 – A bold new presence in the world of sailing superyachts emerges with the launch of SIMENA, the first ever superyacht by Turkish shipyard ARES Yachts. Measuring 62 metres, this steel–carbon composite, ketch-rigged sailing yacht is a refined blend of timeless design and modern innovation — a vessel made for true connoisseurs of the sea.

SIMENA will make her official world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 (24–27 September), marking ARES Yachts' ambitious entry into the 60+ metre superyacht segment. With this launch, the Antalya-based shipyard not only enters a new league but also establishes itself as a player to watch in the sailing yacht category.

A Fusion of Heritage and Modernity

Designed to RINA Charter Class C requirements, SIMENA is a true go-anywhere bluewater yacht. Her exteriors, crafted by Taka Yacht Design, feature towering ketch rigging, classical lines, and exquisite detailing. The interiors, developed by Design Unlimited, embody understated luxury through the use of walnut cabinetry, tonal leathers, antiqued brass, and high-end stones like Calacatta Oro and Patagonia White marbles.

From the laid teak decks and varnished sipo mahogany joinery, to the latest hybrid propulsion system enabling near-silent cruising up to 6 knots, SIMENA reflects a philosophy of harmony between tradition and innovation.

She accommodates 12 guests and 9 crew, with the owner’s suite positioned forward on the main deck, offering panoramic views and ultimate privacy.

Technically Sophisticated

Powered by a hybrid system, SIMENA can operate silently under electric propulsion or use her 882 kW diesel engine for longer voyages, achieving a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles at cruising speed. Hidden TV lifts and integrated tech systems preserve the yacht’s timeless aesthetic while ensuring state-of-the-art comfort.
