Winch Design, in collaboration with the Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche, presents the Flexplorer 146, 44 meters long. The third in the Flexplorer series, it is due for release in 2025.

The Flexplorer, powered by two MTU diesel engines achieves excellent performance, with a top speed of 14.0 kn and at cruising speed a maximum range of 5000.0 nm. The yacht has a gross tonnage of 499.0 GT and a beam of 8.6 m.

The Flexplorer's interior, curated by Winch Design, showcases a combination of environmental consciousness and cutting-edge design. The deep commitment of the owner and his family to nature and sustainability led to the construction of the boat from exclusively natural, non-toxic, environmentally friendly materials. Embodying the natural world, interior design practices that create low EMF levels and low VOC materials to provide a clean living environment.

Earth tones, matte surfaces and organic textures will be used throughout, keeping mother nature at the heart of the design. The eco-friendly interior will feature a range of innovative, 'green' bio-materials including recycled shell composite, eggshell paint finishes, Foresso (wood waste composite), recycled fishing nets, artificial woven grass and Thames wood. Mafi flooring will be used throughout the yacht, which is produced by an Austrian company specializing in the production of high-quality and completely ecological natural wood floors.

Incorporating walls with an eggshell paint finish into the interior lends a sophisticated and organic aesthetic - 250,000 tonnes of eggshell waste is produced annually worldwide as a by-product of the food industry and can be reused through a firing and coloring process to create a variety of designs, colors and textures - . Additionally, recycled fishing net rugs provide a soft and plush flooring solution while helping to reduce ocean litter. Woven grass is another material that can be seen in many applications, including roof canopies.

All bathrooms will use recycled shell composite, which mimics the iridescent ocean and gives discarded shells a second life. Rustic charm will be carried over into the interior through the use of recycled wood chips, recycled timber and wood dust from local sawmills and construction sites, in various furniture applications. Palm skin, chosen for its durability and as an eco-friendly alternative to animal skin, will also be applied to many pieces of furniture.

The yacht's engineering also places great emphasis on environmental sustainability. In particular, it incorporates a catalytic reduction system, in compliance with IMO TIER III emission standards that allows navigation in marine protected areas and reserves, such as the Galapagos. Its interior design has also been carefully selected based on natural carbon construction.
