The Synteak Group, a company already known for the innovation of the industry for the last 20 years, launches EcoDeck in Italy, an innovative and high-quality material, considered by the company as the perfect substitute for natural teak in high-end flooring yachts and superyachts.
The product, produced in the Netherlands, offers a traditional and luxurious look, ideally replacing the "old" natural teak, which is increasingly rare worldwide. EcoDeck was created to respond to the need to cover the lack of natural resources that now make natural teak scarce. With a thickness of eight millimeters and high-tech materials, the Synteak group aims to raise the performance and aesthetics of decking to a new level.
One of the main advantages of EcoDeck is its durability. This floor is extremely durable and can withstand daily weight and use without deterioration for up to twenty years - according to the Dutch manufacturer. Plus, it's flexible, meaning it can adapt to different surfaces and movements without cracking or breaking.
Stronger and more durable and without design limitations, this material provides an aesthetically beautiful and elegant surface that lends grandeur to both the exterior and interior of the boat. As EcoDeck is suitable for both indoor and wall-mounted use, it is an excellent sustainable solution for the complete replacement of all wooden surfaces on board, even the most complex shaped solid wood designs.
"Very soon all owners of the best yachts will only want the EcoDeck, wood will be just a memory," says Synteak CEO Francesco Martorelli.
Another advantage of EcoDeck is its environmentally friendly nature. This polyurethane resin-based material is free of harmful solvents and is also made from recyclable materials, thus helping to reduce environmental impact. In addition, its characteristics also make it resistant to algae, reducing the maintenance required to keep it clean and in good condition.
Added to the long list of benefits is the fact that EcoDeck does not discolor over time and can be ordered in the customer's preferred shade.
Many boat owners and shipyards have already embraced this change, especially in Northern Europe - where the product was born and has been present for more than ten years -, and now it is also available throughout Italy, thanks to Synteak's unified network of professionals.
