Ares Yachts has recently unveiled the interior renderings of its highly anticipated 50.55-meter superyacht, Spitfire. Designed in collaboration with Bannenberg & Rowell for the interior and Lateral Naval Architects for the naval architecture, Spitfire draws inspiration from the iconic Supermarine Spitfire aircraft, famous for its role in World War II. The yacht promises a seamless blend of historical design influence with modern luxury, encapsulating the spirit of innovation, performance, and agility that the Spitfire aircraft represents.

The exterior of Spitfire is as striking as its name, with sleek, low-profile lines, a rounded bow, and a superstructure banded with dark glass. Its design incorporates a military gray color that nods to the aircraft's iconic look. A key feature of the design is its wide, rounded bow and open explorer-style stern, offering ample space for adventure on the open seas. The yacht's hull, based on the successful Ares 150 Bold patrol vessel, promises high performance, with the hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system allowing it to reach top speeds of over 22 knots and a cruising range of 2,200 nautical miles. This range can be extended to 3,500 nautical miles with extra tankage, ensuring that Spitfire can undertake long voyages while maintaining an eco-friendly profile.

The interior design of Spitfire, led by Bannenberg & Rowell, pays homage to the industrial and military inspirations of the Spitfire aircraft. The spaces are filled with materials such as punched metal, leather, and tinted glass, giving the yacht a modern yet historical feel. The color palette features military and naval camouflage tones, creating a cohesive and immersive atmosphere throughout the yacht.

One of the standout features of Spitfire is the full-beam owner’s suite located on the main deck. This luxurious space includes a freestanding bed with a 270-degree panoramic view and a private outdoor movie theater.

The yacht also accommodates up to 10 guests in four additional cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom. The social areas are designed to be flexible and informal, with sliding glass doors that connect and separate spaces as needed. The main deck’s dining room and lounge area can be converted into a large indoor-outdoor space, while the upper deck features full-length sliding doors and a sunroof that turns the interior into a part of the exterior bar, grill, and sun loungers.

In terms of technology, Spitfire incorporates advanced hybrid diesel-electric propulsion, offering emission-free silent operation for up to 11 hours with an optional battery upgrade. The yacht’s impressive beach club area is equipped with fold-down wings, a transformer platform, and a transom capable of housing water toys. It is designed to host various guest occasions, from lounging by the water to engaging in exciting water sports. The Spitfire also features a versatile D-Fac Room that serves as both a formal dining area and a cinema, offering flexibility for different activities.

Lateral Naval Architects have worked on the yacht’s hull design, ensuring high stability and performance, making Spitfire not only an aesthetic masterpiece but also a highly functional vessel for modern yachting lifestyles.

Ares Yachts, based in Antalya, Turkey, has demonstrated its expertise in both high-quality fiberglass construction and high-performance hull designs. Spitfire is set to become a true flagship of the shipyard, showcasing its capabilities in creating luxurious, high-performance yachts for the modern world.
The yacht’s construction is set to begin in the spring, with delivery expected in 2027. The innovative design, advanced technology, and flexible interior spaces make Spitfire a perfect example of Ares Yachts' commitment to creating vessels that cater to the modern yachting lifestyle.
