Sanlorenzo opens the 2026 yachting calendar at Boot Düsseldorf with a clear and confident message: refined design, technological intelligence and environmental responsibility are no longer separate concepts, but integral parts of contemporary yacht living. From 17 to 25 January, the Italian shipyard returns to the world’s leading indoor boat show with the SD90, a model that encapsulates its evolving vision for the semi displacement segment.

Presented in Düsseldorf alongside newly released official photos, the SD90 offers a comprehensive view of Sanlorenzo’s approach to efficiency and spatial quality below 28 metres. As the entry point to the renewed SD line, following the SD96 and SD118, the SD90 reflects a mature design language that prioritises long term comfort, reduced consumption and a deep connection with the sea.

With a hull length under 24 metres and an overall length close to 28 metres, the SD90 has been developed through a transversal design process. The hull, engineered in collaboration with Philippe Briand, focuses on reducing resistance and optimising performance, while extensive research into materials and onboard systems contributes to lower energy demand and improved sustainability.
The exterior architecture, designed by Zuccon International Project, unfolds across two and a half decks, including an open flybridge, main deck and lower deck. The yacht’s proportions have been carefully calibrated to enhance liveability, offering a sense of space that exceeds expectations for this size category. New layout solutions allow the SD90 to adapt fluidly to different onboard lifestyles, moving beyond conventional typologies within the navetta segment.

One of the most distinctive features of the SD90 is the reimagined bow area on the main deck, conceived as a partial full beam that reshapes the owner’s cabin volume. This architectural choice creates a more generous interior while maintaining balanced exterior lines. The bow itself can be configured either as a private retreat or a social space, always maintaining an uninterrupted visual relationship with the water.
Interior design by Patricia Urquiola introduces a strong concept of transformability, allowing spaces to evolve according to life on board. The main deck saloon accommodates both lounge and dining functions, while on the lower deck, a forward lounge area can be closed off and converted into an additional private cabin when required. These flexible solutions reflect a philosophy of intelligent use of space rather than excess.

Material research further reinforces the SD90’s responsible character. Recycled paper boiserie by Paper Factor, recycled glass elements and refined finishes define interiors that are both tactile and environmentally considered. The forward wall of the saloon, crafted from recycled glass, acts as a translucent filter that enhances depth and light without interrupting spatial continuity.

Large windows strengthen the dialogue between interior and exterior, complemented by continuous flooring between the saloon and cockpit. Light becomes an active design element, interacting with micro patterned ceilings inspired by marine textures, creating subtle reflections when the yacht is underway.
Attention to sustainability extends to onboard systems, from energy efficient appliances and eco air conditioning to advanced thermal and acoustic insulation, all selected to reduce consumption while maintaining comfort and performance.

With its presentation at Boot Düsseldorf, the SD90 stands as a clear expression of Sanlorenzo’s direction, where conscious cruising, architectural thinking and Italian design culture converge. Supported by newly released official photography, the model reinforces the brand’s leadership in an evolving European market that increasingly values substance over spectacle.
