Oceanco announces that Project Y729 has moved from its construction facilities in Zwijndrecht to Alblasserdam for outfitting. With the steel hull and aluminium superstructure already assembled and pre-outfitted, the yacht now enters the final stages of fabrication ahead of her launch, sea trials, and delivery scheduled for 2027.

Measuring 80 meters (262 feet) overall and 2,600GT, Y729 features an exterior design by Espen Øino International, interiors by Zuretti Design, and technical representation by Arrow Monaco. The yacht will accommodate up to 14 guests, served by a crew of up to 28.
Y729 is the first vessel in Oceanco’s Simply Custom line, a concept designed to simplify the creation of a custom yacht while preserving the shipyard’s pedigree. The platform allows owners to include their preferred design features on a proven technical foundation, available from 80 meters and 2,500–2,700GT.

Erwin de Looff, Project Director at Oceanco, notes: “With Y729, we were able to leverage the Simply Custom technical backbone to accelerate the build. The owners’ clear vision and engagement have kept the project moving swiftly.”
For the owners, Y729 is their first yacht, designed as a private retreat for family gatherings after years of chartering. “There’s a strong sense of partnership among ourselves, the designers, and the shipyard,” the owners say. “Every milestone is a celebration, and the team feels like an extended part of our family.”

Noel Walsh, Managing Partner at Arrow, adds: “Reaching the outfitting stage highlights the strengths of the Simply Custom platform: rapid progress without compromising innovation, engineering excellence, or bespoke detail. We look forward to completing this journey in 2027.”
