The hull and superstructure of the 69.7-metre Project Thunderball—also known as CRN hull 145—have now been fully completed, marking a key construction milestone for the Italian shipyard.

Sold in August 2022 by Y.CO and officially revealed in September 2023, Project Thunderball is being built by CRN, part of the Ferretti Group Superyachts Division, with Y.CO serving as the owner’s representative and project management team.

The yacht’s sleek silhouette is the work of Dutch studio Vripack, responsible for her exterior styling and preliminary naval architecture, while Italian studio Nauta Design has envisioned her interiors and outdoor living spaces. Together, they’ve created a superyacht that blends timeless elegance with a contemporary, sailboat-inspired profile and elongated bow.

Scheduled for delivery in 2026, Project Thunderball spans five expansive decks, with a beam of 11 metres and a gross tonnage of 1,100 GT. Accommodation is provided for 12 guests across an owner’s suite and five VIP staterooms, along with 15 crew in nine ensuite cabins.

Work is progressing steadily on both interior and exterior outfitting. With the interior compartmentation completed in April 2025, structural furniture installation has now begun on the lower decks. The VIP quarters on the owner's deck are also advancing, with the first finished staterooms to be installed by mid-summer.

Her main saloon and wheelhouse have been fully insulated, with furniture fitting now underway. Exterior elements, including metal detailing and custom-crafted wooden features, are nearing completion, while full hull painting is expected to begin in September 2025 following the fairing phase.

Key onboard features include a spa and gym, a winter garden on the sundeck, and a lower deck swimming pool with an integrated cold plunge bath. Project Thunderball will carry two 9-metre tenders on the bow and a range of watersports gear, from kiteboards to surfboards.

Importantly, the yacht incorporates a peak shaving system for energy efficiency and silent mode operation at anchor—an eco-forward feature that supports fuel and energy savings. Powered by twin MAN V12 engines of 1,213 kW each, she is expected to reach a top speed of 16 knots and cruise comfortably at 12 knots.
