Marina di Carrara, 2 February 2026 – Perini Navi S/Y Katana has received her first international recognition just months after her official debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025. At the Superyacht Design Festival in Kitzbühel, organized by Boat International, she was awarded Best Interior – Sailing Yacht for the exceptional quality of her interiors and the coherent vision behind the onboard experience.
The interiors, designed by Rémi Tessier, combine bespoke craftsmanship, precise control of proportions, and spatial coherence. Brushed cedar and teak dominate the material palette, extending to wall coverings, furnishings, and complemented by leather paneling and palladium leaf ceilings. Natural light filters through large glazed surfaces and skylights, while indirect lighting enhances the yacht’s lines and volumes.

A centerpiece of the yacht is the main staircase, conceived as the spatial and distributive core. Light structures, metal handrails, and floating steps are paired with fine wood finishes and painted aluminum details. The main saloon unfolds as a continuous, enveloping space with curved seating, integrated furnishings, and soft geometries. Leather upholstery, sliding satin-glass doors with metallic mesh, and a palladium leaf ceiling with wooden inserts create a refined atmosphere.

The cabins, including the owner’s suite, offer fluidity and openness through integrated furnishings and soft finishes. Perimeter lighting highlights the quality of materials and ensures comfort. Bathrooms feature palladium leaf ceilings, walnut vanities, and ivory onyx showers. On deck, teak furniture and a sunbathing area with a teak-clad Jacuzzi create a seamless continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
“The recognition at the Superyacht Design Festival highlights S/Y Katana’s ability to integrate interior design, naval architecture, and technology,” comments Gianmaria Costantino, Chief Commercial Officer of The Italian Sea Group. “Every design choice stems from the sailing experience and a rigorous approach to space, materials, and proportions. The project emphasizes the relationship with the sea, interpreted with discipline and absolute sensitivity.”
