Following the unveiling of five new interior designs for the Oceanco 80m Simply Custom series, the Dutch yacht builder has unveiled 12 new exterior designs, each designed to meet the different preferences of superyacht owners.
The Kairos is one of the standout designs, designed by design studio Pinifarina.
This new design proposal is not actually new, as it is not the first time that the experts from Pininfarina have collaborated with innovators Oceanco and Lateral Naval on a concept. The Kairos 80 is based on a previous design developed in 2021 - a 90-meter (295-foot) yacht that has now been adapted to fit into the Simply Custom collection.
Best known to the general public as the creative force behind the appealing curves of various Ferraris and other exotic cars, Pininfarina has designed a visually striking vessel with a distinctive profile on the water. The exterior of the Kairos 80 yacht is characterized by strong, angular lines that create an imposing yet elegant silhouette.
The yacht’s exterior has been shaped to evoke a peaceful oasis in which to relax and enjoy time on your own terms. On KAIROS, time, space and people connect to be one in the moment. The owner and their guests are at the epicenter of the onboard experience, and the surrounding space adapts to their every desire. A 360-degree approach to design at once connects you to the sea below, to the light above and to the spaces and people beside you.
While interior images remain largely unknown at this stage, interior drawings show a white, open layout with expansive windows flooding the area with natural light.
When the original Kairos yacht was unveiled a few years ago, the design house said its name was taken from a Greek word meaning "the right or crucial moment" and explained that they chose it because the yacht represents a "year associated with dynamism from possibility, celebration and the possibilities of the future." Now, designer Daniele Mazzon describes the redesigned Kairos 80 as "a serene oasis in which you can relax and enjoy time on your own terms."
All Simply Custom designs will be equipped with a state-of-the-art, fully electric propulsion and energy architecture.
