ISA Poseidon 86: ISA Yachts’ 86-Metre Superyacht by Enrico Gobbi

At 86 metres, the new ISA Poseidon combines a sleek, dynamic profile with expansive spaces designed around life at sea, bringing together customisation, sophisticated architecture and a strong connection with the water.
ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has unveiled ISA Poseidon 86 metres, the latest project in its ISA Large Yacht Collection, dedicated to large custom superyachts developed on a proven engineering platform while allowing extensive freedom in design and configuration.

With an overall length of 86 metres and a beam of 12.80 metres, Poseidon has been developed in collaboration with Enrico Gobbi – TEAM for Design, responsible for both the exterior and interior design. Naval architecture has been developed by the ISA Yachts technical department.
The yacht’s exterior design is defined by an elongated, elegant silhouette in which dynamic lines meet generous volumes. Its high, gently curved bow introduces a timeless character, reinterpreted through a distinctly contemporary architectural language.

A long forward section leads towards a superstructure positioned well aft, creating a balanced and streamlined profile. The signature ISA arch, one of the brand’s recognisable design elements, has been refined and slimmed down so that it integrates naturally into the yacht’s lines while preserving the extensive glazing and uninterrupted views from the interiors.
Taut surfaces alternate with softer geometries, while details such as the side air intakes and superstructure forms draw inspiration from the world of sports cars, translating their dynamism into the architecture of a large superyacht.
A Stern Designed Around the Sea
The stern is one of Poseidon’s most distinctive architectural features. When the platforms open, they reveal an expansive beach club positioned directly above the water.

The lower-deck beach club has been conceived as a dedicated environment for wellness and life by the sea. Fold-down side platforms extend the usable area and create a direct connection with the outdoors.

The space includes a sea-facing lounge, a bar and a glass-sided whirlpool tub, while a striking passageway leads amidships to a wellness area featuring a gym, sauna, steam room, treatment facilities and massage spaces. Two additional sea-facing balconies can also be opened.
On the main deck, a large T-shaped swimming pool becomes the focal point of the outdoor area. Its configuration combines a whirlpool section with a larger swimming area, creating different ways to enjoy the water while maintaining a strong visual connection with the sea.
The pool is also integrated into the architecture of the stern through a glazed structure framed by an element inspired by a sports car spoiler. In the evening, the pool lighting further emphasises the transparency of the glass and the geometry of the structure.
A Private World for the Owner
The entire upper deck is dedicated to the Owner and conceived as a generous private retreat. The master suite features 360-degree glazing, a study, dressing room and bathroom with a double shower and bathtub.

The suite opens directly onto the forward outdoor area, where a large longitudinal pool, designed for swimming, is surrounded by generous sunbathing spaces. Positioned at the very front of the yacht, it offers uninterrupted views towards the horizon while maintaining a high level of privacy.
The same forward area can also function as a touch-and-go helipad, adding another layer of flexibility to the yacht.

Further aft, an indoor lounge with sofas connects to an outdoor relaxation and entertainment area, complete with a dining table for 14 guests.
Panoramic Spaces
One of the project’s most interesting architectural solutions is located on the bridge deck, where an additional panoramic space has been incorporated without adding visual weight to the yacht’s exterior profile.
The sky lounge is fully integrated into the architecture of the uppermost deck, while its roof draws on the aerodynamic lines of a sports car cockpit. The result is a third panoramic lounge complemented by a Jacuzzi, while preserving the lightness of the overall silhouette.

The interior layout offers two configurations, with six or seven cabins accommodating up to 12 or 14 guests respectively. The crew of 18 is accommodated in 10 dedicated cabins.
Engineering and Performance
Poseidon features a high-strength steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a full-load draught of 3.60 metres.
Propulsion comes from two MTU 16V4000M63L engines, rated at 2,240 kW each. The yacht has a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, with an estimated range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Two garages are incorporated into the design. The forward garage accommodates a rescue tender and water toys, while the amidships garage can house a tender of up to 9.5 metres, replacing the gym in an alternative configuration.
With the Poseidon 86 metres, ISA Yachts further expands its ISA Large Yacht Collection, reinforcing its approach to large custom yachts through a combination of strong design identity, advanced technical solutions and extensive freedom of customisation.
The shipyard is simultaneously moving further into the upper end of the market, with a 100-metre superyacht currently under construction that will become ISA Yachts’ new flagship.
