What remains of luxury when you strip away the theater of excess?

HUB is an 83-meter motor yacht that challenges the established norms of naval architecture. It is a sanctuary designed not to dictate experience but to facilitate it. In a world defined by routine, HUB emerges as a haven of freedom, where luxury revolves around simplicity, informality, and the richness of shared human connection.

The Creative Alliance

The vessel is the result of a holistic collaboration between three specialized studios:

  • Lateral Naval Architects: The engineering pioneers behind the structural innovation.

  • byJC (James Clausen): The studio that bridges art and engineering to develop functional yet formally considered yacht architecture.

  • Lawson Robb: The London-based interior architecture specialists focusing on private residences and special commissions.

A Platform for Innovation

The soul of HUB lies in the Free From Bulkheads (FFB) technical platform by Lateral Naval Architects. This architecture allows watertight bulkheads to terminate at the lower deck, creating a "skateboard" effect. With all machinery tucked beneath the deck, the space above becomes a canvas for total creative sovereignty.

This structural freedom manifests in the Beach-Cave. Positioned at the waterline, it collapses the boundary between the interior and the sea, merging a watersports center with a social lounge. It is a deliberate blurring of the edge where the yacht meets the water.

Space Organised Around Life

Inside, HUB rejects the monumental formality of the past. The interior is characterized by asymmetric layouts and fluid transitions. Spaces dissolve into one another, fostering an environment of continuous engagement.

  • The Main Deck: A glass-wrapped sanctuary of light and informality that resists the stiff salon planning of the previous century.

  • The Upper Deck: A sky lounge and outdoor dining area designed for spontaneous gatherings rather than stiff ceremony.

  • The Nexus: Every element maintains a symbiotic relationship, creating varied lines of sight that make the scale of the vessel feel inhabited and intimate.

Silent Intelligence & Particulars

The all-electric hybrid propulsion by Lateral incorporates batteries as the primary energy source. This permits extensive operation with no noise, lower vibrations, and zero local emissions.

The compact arrangement returns 900 square meters of prime real estate to the guest experience.
