It is with deep sorrow that the world mourns the death of legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away at the age of 91. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, remaining actively involved as CEO and Creative Director of his eponymous fashion house until his final days.

Born in 1934 in Piacenza, Italy, Armani founded the Giorgio Armani brand in Milan in 1975, revolutionizing fashion with relaxed silhouettes and simple designs, establishing the concept of “invisible luxury.” His success soared in the 1980s, with his clothes featured in films such as American Gigolo and the series Miami Vice.

Armani’s empire expanded into hotels, sportswear, accessories, and naturally, the world of superyachts. In 2025, he unveiled his first superyacht, the Admiral Armani 72m, which will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
