Damen Yachting Expands Xplorer Fleet with New Xplorer 60 Sale

Damen Yachting has announced the sale of a new Xplorer 60 expedition yacht, with delivery scheduled for 2028, further reinforcing the growing success of its acclaimed Xplorer series. The latest sale highlights the increasing demand for explorer yachts capable of extended autonomous cruising, remote expeditions and versatile onboard operations without compromising luxury or comfort.

The new vessel follows the successful delivery of the Xplorer 60 AFTER YOU in 2025 and joins an impressive fleet that includes the Xplorer 62 ANAWA, the Xplorer 77 LA DATCHA and the Xplorer 58 PINK SHADOW. Together, these projects demonstrate the continued evolution of Damen Yachting's explorer yacht portfolio and its appeal to owners seeking experiences beyond traditional cruising destinations.

Designed for an owner with a passion for exploration, the new Xplorer 60 will serve as both a private expedition platform and a vessel capable of supporting scientific research in some of the world's most remote regions. The project reflects a growing trend among yacht owners who are increasingly combining adventure, sustainability and purpose-driven cruising.

The owner was represented throughout the transaction by TWW Yachts. According to Alex Heyes of TWW Yachts, the sale marks the firm's second consecutive Xplorer acquisition with Damen Yachting, underscoring the strength of the platform and its flexibility to meet each owner's unique operational requirements.

For Damen Yachting, the sale confirms the strong momentum of the Xplorer range. Jorrit Pilaar, Commercial Executive EMEA, noted that more owners are looking for yachts capable of supporting diverse cruising programmes while offering exceptional comfort and reliability, making the Xplorer 60 an ideal solution.

The 60-metre yacht offers 1,160 GT of internal volume and accommodates up to 12 guests, served by a crew of 16 plus the captain. Interior styling has been created by H2 Design, while Azure Yacht Design is responsible for the striking exterior lines. Naval architecture has been developed in-house by Damen Yachting, combining proven engineering with true ocean-going capability.

Available in 60, 80 and 105-metre models, the Xplorer range has established itself as one of the leading luxury expedition yacht platforms on the market, offering both semi-custom and fully bespoke solutions for owners who aspire to travel further, stay longer and discover destinations far beyond conventional cruising routes.
