Italian shipyard Cantieri di Pisa has unveiled a new 48m concept model called the Polaris 48, the first in a new range of steel and aluminum yachts with a focus on agility, long-range sailing and low fuel consumption.
The exterior design of the Polaris 48, and the entire range, is by Antonio Luxardo, while the engineering is handled by Optima Design. The interior of this 48 meter long yacht is designed by Parisotto + Formenton. and the studio has focused on creating a modern style that draws inspiration from the yard's historic Akhir series, which includes teak, polyester, bronze, glass and brass.
"The new range features different types of vessels and materials compared to the company's previous output, but with instantly recognizable lines that follow its traditional values," says Luxardo. “The Polaris 48 is classified as a voyager because it has the range of an explorer but also offers incredibly versatile exteriors and highly refined interiors. The main feature is the livability of the upper and main decks, which have two large interconnected verandas that can be used in different ways and can accommodate everything you need to explore the surrounding area and play water sports ».
In addition, one of the yacht's distinctive features is its spacious upper deck, where guests can mingle at the formal table or bar and gaze at the relaxing sea view from the comfort of comfortable sunbeds, sofas and swings. In addition, the passage between the upper deck and the spacious beach club is made possible thanks to the presence of two staircases.
The design emphasizes a maritime mood with elegant lines and large windows, ensuring a continuous dialogue with light and sea views.
The main deck of the Polaris 48 includes a master suite, a VIP cabin and approximately 200 square meters of living space.
This includes a 50 square meter indoor lounge and a 150 square meter outdoor area, which features a flexible relaxation area that can also accommodate a hot tub.
In addition to the two cabins on the main deck, there are four more guest cabins on the lower deck
As for propulsion, two 1,650hp V12 Man engines will deliver a range of around 4,000 miles at ten knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Eco High Power Hull (EHPH) displacement hulls are designed to ensure good performance and low fuel consumption.
