The Boost Surfing motorized fin is easy to attach to almost any inflatable paddleboard or kayak. It has a 2-button wristband controller and a phone app to control it and adjust settings. It provides enough sailing power for 40 to 100 minutes depending on the power level. The motor has a power of 800 watts, but it has a slow enough start, so that even a beginner can control the board with the fin.

ADVANTAGES

Designed so that it cannot be easily detached from the fin box while under the board, the fin has easy placement and easy-to-use controls. At the same time, the slow start of the motor makes it easy to use even for beginner surfers. The amount of power is characterized by normal intensity for sailing, while the self-contained unit without cables is easy to use.

DISADVANTAGES

Disadvantages of the fin include its large size, which makes it difficult for boards and kayaks to turn, as well as slow motor performance at 10 mph. Additionally, there is no way to activate the fin without using the supplied screwdriver, while the US Fin Box adapter uses a different size hex key than the supplied screwdriver.

The fin was originally designed for surf use. Contributing to surfers entering the waves without having to paddle with their hands, which is difficult and tiring. So they created the booster fin so they could catch more waves without getting tired. However, the Boost Surfing fin can also be used to power SUP boards or kayaks.

The Boost Surfing Motorized fin currently retails for $429. Mounting adapters are $19 (includes a US Fin box adapter).
