The unveiling of the Picchiotti P53 at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 23 marked the return of a historic name to the forefront of yacht design. Led by Giovanni Costantino, Founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group, the P53 is the first realized expression of the P-Fleet philosophy, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering. The yacht represents a balance between aesthetics and functionality, a core principle of Picchiotti’s approach to contemporary yachting.

The P53 targets a new generation of owners, from first-time yacht buyers to those transitioning from sailing to power yachts. Its design balances speed and serenity, instinct and rationality. The full aluminium construction offers lightness and strength, reducing fuel consumption while providing comfort and safety at sea.

The owner’s suite spans 120 square meters, with a private terrace and direct access to both pool and sea. Guest areas are designed to provide a seamless connection with the surroundings, while the full walkaround upper deck offers 360° views and efficient crew circulation. The sun deck integrates a gym and Jacuzzi, creating wellness spaces under open skies.

The P53’s architecture and design result from close collaboration between Gianmaria Costantino, Chief Commercial Officer of The Italian Sea Group, and Picchiotti’s Centro Stile. Every curve and detail is carefully conceived to combine functionality with harmony. This philosophy is reflected throughout the yacht, from engine layout to acoustics and interior ergonomics.

Technically, the P53 measures 53 meters in length with a 10-meter beam and gross tonnage below 500 GT. Powered by two MAN V12 engines, it reaches a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Its range is approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, and it carries 50,000 liters of fuel. The yacht accommodates 12 guests in six cabins and 10 crew members in five cabins.

The P53 is a statement of continuity and progress, combining Picchiotti’s rich heritage with modern owner expectations. Its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show confirmed that Picchiotti continues to evolve, preserving the spirit of traditional yacht making while embracing the future.
