Baltic Yachts has unveiled the interior of the 33.5m sailing yacht Zemi following its delivery in August.

Named after an ancient Caribbean deity, Zemi is a Baltic 110 Custom characterized by her metallic bronze hull, low roof and teak deck that curves over the lip of the platform.

Zemi's construction began last year after the build was commissioned by an experienced family with a passion for cruising around the world. Designed by Malcolm McKeon, the sailing yacht builds on the partnership between his studio and the yard, a successful partnership that began with the delivery of the award-winning 34m Liara in 2019.

The interior design was completed by Andreas Martin-Löf as his first yacht project. The Zemi features warm walnut and white veneers joined by light honeycomb patterns. The still images also reveal a muted color scheme, clean lines and warm built-in lighting.

Among its many features, Zemi's main cockpit can be converted into a large sun lounge with added protection from a retractable sprayhood and removable full-length bimini. Details of its folding platform and bathing platform, which lead to a garage at the stern for a Williams tender, were also revealed by the yard.

Other measures aimed at improving the yacht's performance include twin rudders and a 28-tonne lifting telescopic keel, which can reduce the draft from six meters to 3.95 metres. The yacht is also the third to feature Baltic yachts' electric propulsion system using the proven Danfoss motor with lithium-ion power driving a conventional shaft.

Highly efficient, quieter and with much reduced vibration compared to an internal combustion engine, the electric motor emits no pollutants and converts to a generator using the yacht's freewheeling propeller while cruising.

Although the yacht still requires diesel generators, the twin 129 kW Cummins units are designed to meet IMO Tier 3 emissions regulations, further enhancing the yacht's eco-credentials.
