Baglietto has officially launched the first hull of its highly anticipated FAST50 series, marking a significant milestone for the Italian shipyard and introducing a new generation of high-performance aluminium superyachts.

Built entirely in aluminium and measuring 50 metres in length, the FAST50 has been conceived to combine the exhilarating performance of a fast yacht with the spaciousness and comfort traditionally associated with displacement vessels. Remaining below the 500 GT threshold, the new model further strengthens Baglietto’s position in the highly customised fast superyacht segment.

Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, who also curated the interiors together with Margherita Casprini, the FAST50 features naval architecture by Pierluigi Ausonio. Powered by four MTU 2000 M96L engines, the yacht is capable of reaching an impressive top speed of 30 knots.

According to Baglietto’s Chief Commercial Officer, Fabio Ermetto, the project was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the shipyard’s historic DNA, drawing inspiration from some of Baglietto’s most iconic fast yachts while incorporating innovative solutions developed for the successful T-Line.

The yacht’s exterior styling pays tribute to legendary Baglietto models such as Adler, Pachamama and the award-winning Monokini, while introducing a more contemporary architectural language. Particularly striking is the stern area, developed across two levels and transformed into an expansive beach club through fold-down bulwarks that significantly increase the usable waterfront space.

One of the defining characteristics of the FAST50 is the seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces. Full-height opening windows on three sides of both the main and upper decks flood the interiors with natural light and create uninterrupted views of the sea. Signature cut-out bulwarks further enhance the visual connection with the surrounding environment.

Unlike many traditional fast yachts, the FAST50 is arranged across three true decks and features a wide-body owner’s suite on the main deck. This configuration allows for significantly increased interior volumes without compromising the yacht’s sleek profile.

The upper deck offers generous outdoor living spaces, including lounge areas, sunpads and a spectacular jacuzzi positioned at the bow for maximum privacy and panoramic views. A three-sided opening veranda hosts a panoramic dining area, while an unusually spacious rooftop retreat provides an additional private sanctuary for the owner.

Accommodation includes four guest cabins on the lower deck, comprising two VIP suites and two twin cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. Crew quarters accommodate the captain and eight crew members. A particularly spacious galley located amidships reflects the owner’s desire to create a social and welcoming environment for family and guests.ηκε ως ένας κοινωνικός χώρος συνάντησης για τον ιδιοκτήτη, την οικογένεια και τους καλεσμένους του.

The interior design embraces a contemporary and refined aesthetic, with teak serving as the dominant material throughout. Clean architectural lines, lacquered finishes and innovative materials such as burnt oak create a sophisticated atmosphere, while strict weight-saving measures have been implemented to ensure optimal performance. Even the exterior handrails have been crafted from titanium.

Automotive influences are evident throughout the design, from the integrated air intakes to stern details inspired by sports car exhausts. The custom “Porsche Chalk” hull colour further reinforces the yacht’s dynamic and sporty character.

Among the yacht’s most notable technical features is a stern garage equipped with a flooding launch system capable of accommodating a tender up to seven metres in length, complemented by a second garage located forward. The project is completed by a shallow-draft semi-tunnel hull, ensuring excellent performance even in regions with limited water depth.

With the launch of the first FAST50, Baglietto successfully bridges its rich heritage of high-performance aluminium yachts with a contemporary vision of luxury, innovation and liveability, setting a new benchmark within the fast superyacht sector.
