Archipelago Yachts has unveiled its latest creation, the Archipelago 80, marking a major milestone for the British yard. Designed for an owner with a visionary perspective, this 24m model is poised to redefine yachting experiences in delivery, the flagship of Archipelago Yachts' renowned range.
The founder Dr. Stephen Weatherley revealed that the Archipelago 80 is tailor-made for cruising by the owner, combining innovation with functionality. Using a Chartwell Marine hull shape, known in the offshore wind industry for its reliability and efficiency, the yacht promises excellent performance and seaworthiness.
A feature of the Archipelago 80 is the presence of a huge workspace, complete with docking points, located in its cockpit that can be used either for the safe storage of superyacht equipment or toys. However, the cockpit area can also be dedicated to leisurely activities such as sunbathing, relaxing, game fishing or dining. In addition, tall bulwarks surround the sides of the cockpit area so that guests and crew are kept at a high level of safety while sailing.
In terms of performance, the Archipelago 80, which has a beam of 11 meters, can reach a top speed of 28 knots.
“The boat was designed for a visionary owner who shares our passion for pushing the limits of sailing. I am very excited to see this project come to life and to welcome the customer for some unforgettable voyages at sea,” added Dr Stephen Weatherley.
