Chris-Craft will bring an all-new Chris-Craft Catalina 28 to the 2023 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show to fill the gap between its 24 and 30 models.
Florida-based Chris-Craft has taken the highly successful formula for its much-loved Catalina line of 24-, 30- and 34-foot models and used it to introduce a new Chris-Craft Catalina 28 .
Debuting at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, this new 28m is arguably the most appealing size for day boaters looking to spend a fun day on the water with friends and family. It has enough seats and cup holders for at least 12 people.
For fishers there is a fold-up aft bench , plenty of rod holders and a door on the side of the hull for transporting 180kg grouper. There's also the option of a newly designed reversible helm seat to keep an eye on all the action at the stern..
Basic propulsion is a pair of 225hp Mercury Verado outboards, with a choice of 300hp versions. Top speed with the 225s is 48 knots, with a maximum of 52 knots from the 300s. To make sure your drinks don't spill while at anchor, you can add a Seakeeper 1 gyro stabilizer.
Of course what hasn't changed is Chris-Craft's focus on quality and craftsmanship. This new Chris-Craft Catalina 28 features quilted upholstery, teak wood accents, stainless steel hardware and mile-deep paintwork available in a choice of 12 colors. Also the wooden steering wheel it has, would not look out of place in a vintage Ferrari
