Oceanco has revealed for the first time details of the Clarity yacht, the stunning Clarity yacht designed by the team at Espen Øino International for the Simply Custom Collection. Clarity is characterized by its energy-efficient design, including "extra large superstructure overhangs" that provide shade and reduce heat gain inside the yacht on the lower decks. The excess surfaces will then be used to install solar cells.
The Simply Custom collection was first announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023. “We created the Simply Custom line because we saw that there was a growing demand for custom made yachts in a new way. Owners still want the best quality in their yachts and to have something designed and built just for them,” explained Oceanco Group Marketing Director Paris Baloumis.
Clarity, an 80m yacht has quite large, shaded outdoor space everywhere throughout the yacht. This includes the main deck saloon which has been designed as a large winter garden that can be opened to use the wind as natural ventilation. "The overall goal is to reduce energy consumption on board and increase the share of energy production from renewable energy sources," Espen Øino explained. Clarity has a swimming pool in front and follows a minimalist aesthetic with light woods and furniture in neutral tones.
It is also equipped with a helipad, a central deck behind the pool, a spacious beach club and a special warehouse for water sports equipment.
In terms of accommodation, Simply Custom collection yachts are typically configured with an owner's cabin on the upper deck and six guest suites on the main deck, meeting all Red Ensign Group Large Yacht Code Part A compliance requirements.
In some Mediterranean countries, cruising restrictions are stricter for superyachts over 80 meters in length, highlighting the need for greater environmental protection so Simply Custom yachts meet these specifications.
Clarity is expected to have a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14-15 knots, with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12-14 knots, with low engine noise and emissions through an SCR exhaust system with continuous diesel particulate filter functions.
