LASGUN: Aberdoni Explores a Bold Vision for the Modern Superyacht

With LASGUN, designer Jay Aberdoni presents a striking 65-metre concept that challenges the conventional architecture of modern superyachts. Developed as a design exercise, the project explores how a simplified deck arrangement and a strong focus on proportions can redefine both the yacht's appearance and onboard experience.

Rather than following the traditional multi-deck configuration, LASGUN is designed around a lower deck, a main deck and a compact pilothouse. This approach creates an exceptionally low profile, giving the yacht a dynamic stance that conveys speed, agility and presence even while at anchor.

The concept is intended for owners who embrace an active, sport-oriented lifestyle and seek a yacht with a contemporary identity. Its exterior combines crisp angular lines with fluid, sculpted surfaces, resulting in a balanced design that feels both powerful and refined. The minimalist styling further enhances its futuristic character, with a sleek silhouette that subtly evokes the aesthetics of a spacecraft while remaining unmistakably a luxury yacht.

One of LASGUN's most distinctive features is its innovative interior architecture. To maximise the available volume within the yacht's low-profile design, the main deck salon seamlessly connects to the skylounge through a dramatic double-height space. Surrounded by glass and complemented by an indoor balcony overlooking the salon, the arrangement creates an exceptional sense of openness, natural light and visual connection between the two levels.

Although LASGUN remains a conceptual study, it demonstrates how thoughtful design can challenge established conventions without compromising elegance or functionality.
