Azimut has launched its new flagship, the Grande 44M, introducing a superyacht that combines advanced engineering, sustainable innovation, and refined Italian design. Scheduled to make her world debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, the first Grande 44M has already attracted remarkable market interest, with seven units sold before delivery.

The launch further strengthens Azimut's position in the superyacht sector, where yachts over 24 metres now account for more than two-thirds of the brand's production value. The Grande 44M represents the latest evolution of the shipyard's vision for the contemporary superyacht, combining lightweight construction, innovative naval architecture, and owner-focused living spaces.

Designed by Alberto Mancini, the yacht features a sleek profile made possible through the extensive use of carbon fibre, which represents more than 50% of the vessel's structure. The lightweight construction reduces weight by approximately eight tonnes in the upper sections, enabling an innovative four-deck configuration rarely seen on yachts of this size.

One of the Grande 44M's defining features is the dedicated owner's deck. By relocating the wheelhouse to the uppermost deck, Azimut has transformed the entire Upper Deck into a private owner's sanctuary complete with panoramic terraces overlooking the sea.

At the stern, guests are welcomed by the signature Mezzanine Deck and an elegant Sea View Terrace. A striking see-through infinity plunge pool enhances the beach club, creating a unique visual connection between the yacht and the surrounding water.

The interiors, designed by m²atelier, reflect a philosophy of flexible luxury. Large panoramic windows flood the living areas with natural light, while adaptable spaces can serve as a formal dining room for twelve guests, a private media lounge, or an entertainment area. A spacious bow lounge centred around a firepit offers an exceptional setting for relaxing and enjoying uninterrupted ocean views.

Innovation extends well beyond aesthetics. The Grande 44M becomes the flagship of Azimut's Low Emission fleet, achieving up to 30% lower CO₂ emissions compared with traditional yachts of similar dimensions.

This performance is made possible through several advanced technologies. The yacht incorporates the innovative Hull Vane® carbon-fibre foil, which reduces hydrodynamic resistance while improving comfort by minimizing pitch and roll. The Dual Mode hull, developed by the Azimut|Benetti Group together with L. Ausonio Naval Architecture, optimises fuel efficiency across a wide range of cruising speeds.

Environmental performance is further enhanced by 30 square metres of integrated solar panels and an advanced Mild Hybrid propulsion system developed with Asea Nautica. Equipped with two 50 kW electric motors and a high-capacity battery system, the yacht can remain at anchor in complete silence for several hours without running generators, significantly improving onboard comfort while eliminating emissions and noise during hotel operations.

The Grande 44M marks another milestone for Azimut, demonstrating how advanced technology and sophisticated design can coexist to deliver greater efficiency, increased onboard space, and an elevated ownership experience. Her official public debut is scheduled for the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, where she is expected to become one of the event's standout premieres.
