5 useful knots
Before we start traveling by boat, whatever boat it may be, it is good to know these 5 basic knots for the safety of the boat and our own. most basic nodes:
Bowlline:
It is probably the best known and most useful knot. It is a high-security knot when the rope is under tension, while it is easily untied when the rope is slack.
clove hitch
It is a very easy knot with many uses, the most common being used for tying balloons.
figure eight
This knot is used to tie the ropes to the boat's keel, holding the whole boat securely
Square knot
It is used to join two ropes and no matter how tight it is, it is very easy to loosen.
Sheet bend
It is used to join ropes of different thicknesses.
